Creating a business case that justifies the need for the project, and a feasibility study to prove it can be executed within a planned Time & Cost. Project Charter, which lay out the project goals, schedule, processes and communication.
This phase is the creation of project plan to guide the subsequent phases. The project scope is defined using WBS which breaks the project down into Activities, Milestones and Deliverables.
In this phase, the tasks and milestones outlined in the plan are tackled to produce the deliverables with planned quality to satisfies the stakeholders within the budget and timeline.
Project M & C, takes place concurrently with the Execution phase. Monitoring the process and performance of project to ensure the planned budget & schedule and controls the triple constraints (SCT).
In this phase,The final deliverables are presented to stakeholders. Resources are released once approved & documentation completed to Sign-off. Some case, this may include transfer knowledge to another team to ensure smooth transition.
